The doctor in Nigeria who contracted the deadly Ebola disease while treating the late Patrick Sawyer who brought in the virus from Liberia, is dead.
Nigeria's Health Minister - Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu announced the death of Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh, bringing the number of deaths in Nigeria to five - including Sawyer's. All four people who died had primary contact with Sawyer.
Five people have survived the virus in Lagos. Earlier in the week, the Lagos State Government announced that four Ebola patients had been discharged after surviving the disease and testing negative. Last Saturday, the first man who survived Ebola was discharged.
However, two Ebola patients are still at the Isolation Centre in Lagos battling to survive the disease.
