Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) - Mrs Sally Mbanefo has called for increased collaboration among tourism stakeholders in Africa.
Speaking in London at the World Travel Market during a discussion with the Tourism and Culture Ministers of Malawi - Hon. Moses Kunkuyu Kalongashawa (MP) and The Gambia - Hon. Fatou Mass Jobe-Njie; Mbanefo opined that in order to drive investment in tourism within the continent, there is a need for greater regional cooperation and an integrated tourism databank among African countries.
This view was echoed by the Ministers who are keen to see African countries working together a lot more than they are presently doing in areas of tourism.
Among visitors to the Nigerian stand at the WTM was Nigeria's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom - Dr Dalhatu Sarki Tafida who was received by Mbanefo and Nigeria's Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation - High Chief Edem Duke.
There were also performances from Iyanya, Ayan De First, Dele Sosimi and ADANTA Dance Troupe among others.
