Boss Revolution
By Felix.
I came to England over a year ago. Although some birds migrate for the weather - I definitely didn’t. I came here to find work.
They say London can be a lonely place and it was certainly hard being away from friends and family. Like most people, my first thoughts when I arrived were to call home to let everyone know that my flight was smooth and that I landed safely. But there were just so many choices!
So I decided to use calling cards. I couldn’t believe that there were so many hidden charges that meant I didn’t ever get as many minutes as I was promised. I felt like such a bird brain because I wasted so much money.
I then decided to try a SIM, but I was always swapping SIM’s around or carrying 2 phones (which is hard for me as I don’t have any pockets). There were also lots of hidden fees and if I didn’t make calls for a little while, they took my credit, just like a magpie would!
Trying to find an easy way to call home was becoming harder than finding a bird bath in January that wasn’t frozen!
Then, just as the sun was finally starting to shine, I saw a sign for Boss Revolution. You simply call an access number from your landline or mobile and it automatically recognises your account, you can then call anywhere in the world for as little as 1/2p a minute. The best thing is there are no hidden fees and balances never expire. You pay exactly what they say you will.
It was so nice to find a way of calling home that was so easy, but I was still worried about my family and friends being able to call me if they needed me, or just wanted to say hello. With Boss Revolution, I can send mobile credit straight to their phones. It’s great for sending smaller amounts of money and reassuring to know that they are able to get in contact with me. Also, there are some great offers too.
So, although I miss my family and friends, Boss Revolution has helped me feel closer to them. I still miss my mum’s seed burger, but I can now call her whenever I want to get the recipe, And now I can make sure she always has credit on her phone, she can call me to find out how it tasted - although it definitely won’t taste as good as hers!
