Detectives have released a photograph of a man they would like to speak to following a violent assault in Woolwich which has left a man with serious injuries.
Police were called at 00:55hrs on Saturday, 14 October to reports of an assault outside a takeaway in Plumstead Road, SE18.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found the victim, a man in his 40s, suffering from head injuries.

He was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are currently being treated as life-changing.
The victim was approached by an unknown black male wearing a grey tracksuit with dark blue patches on the shoulders and a dark blue hood.
There was a short conversation before the male punched the victim in the face, causing the victim to fall to the floor unconscious.
The male then left the area in the direction of Woolwich New Road.
Detective Constable Mark Day, the Investigating Officer from Greenwich CID, said: "This was a vicious assault which has left the victim with serious injuries.
"We are keen to speak to the man in the photograph about the incident and we would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
"We would also urge anyone who witnessed the assault to contact us so we can bring the person responsible for this assault to justice."
