British Prime Minister - David Cameron signed off as Prime Minister with a standing ovation from Conservative Members of Parliament (MPs) and applause from some of the opposition.

Cameron, at press time, was preparing to visit Buckingham Palace to offer his formal resignation to the Queen who is the Head of State. During his audience with the Queen, he will advise on who to step into his shoes.
