Africans For Jeremy Corbyn Values (AFJCV) organised a celebration of the Jeremy Corbyn/John McDonnell election campaign and fundraised for Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) at the Institute Of Education, University Of London.
At the event, Corbyn supporters, activists and councillors, drafted a letter to the Labour Party. It not only congratulates Team Corbyn, particularly in getting popular support for the Socialist-facing manifesto, but also suggests extending an amnesty to suspended and expelled Labour Party members who are willing to embrace Labour values, and re-admit them into the Party.
MSF representative Angela Uyen highlighted the “silent humanitarian crisis” that has been taking place in the Lake Chad region for years. According to her, the Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimates 3.8 million people are facing hunger. £250 was raised to help with MSF’s work across Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon and Chad.

"It's great that we now have a Socialist-facing manifesto, and that there are clear demarcations around what Labour and other parties stand for," said AFJCV secretary Awula Serwah. "It's now not a case of austerity versus austerity-lite. We hope all Labour supporters will rally around the Team Corbyn manifesto."
AFJCV is an inclusive African-led socio-political organisation that aims to galvanise Africans to engage with the Corbyn-led Labour Party.
