According to her daughter - Lande, "One of the last active charitable activities our mum was involved in was taking part in 'Race for Life' in 2015 to raise money for Cancer Research. Unfortunately, two months later, our mum herself received the diagnosis. Mum was very strong and fought hard. During a very difficult 19 months, she received excellent care and treatment which was likely to have extended her life. Despite this most challenging period of her life, our mum was able to experience many moments of joy with family and friends. She kept her faith strong and was positive through it all.
