Ades Limited
Food & Drink
The African Caribbean Cash & Carry was founded in 2004 by Mr Michael Adedipe, who saw a major under representation of Africans in the African Food industry.
Ades Limited started with humble beginning distributing dried and smoked fish to shops in and around the London area. Expansion came in 2006, with the sales of catering supplies before the first Cash and Carry was opened in Charlton in 2007.

Growth has been steady with the hard work and dedication of Mr Adedipe and his team, allowing the organisation to gain an excellent reputation in the industry as it continues to increase its product range and brand to embrace a wider market.
Ades was officially recognised by the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in December 2013 as one of the “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain”. This was an independent research conducted by LSE and it is in recognition of Ades Ltd’s commitment to excellence in its industry.
A second Cash & Carry was opened in Thamesmead in 2014 with extended opening hours during the week and at weekends while investing in storage facilities to support bulk buying which translates into more competitive prices for customers.
Ades Foods
Ades Foundation, the charitable and research arm of Ades, was established earlier this year with the vision to empower young African entrepreneurs and to work on various research projects to improve the quality and safety of African Foods. One such project is with AFFORD (the African Foundation for Development) on how to produce Aflatoxin-free Egusi (Melon Seeds). Other benefits of the project include job creation especially for women and young adults.
