Aminata Conteh - CEO ACYC and Sierra Leone Excellence Awards
A community leader within Sierra Leone’s UK Diaspora community – Mrs Aminata Conteh has endorsed the APC-led government of Dr Ernest Bai Koroma for a second term in office.
Conteh who is the CEO of the UK-based Sierra Leone Excellence Awards and the African Children and Youth Centre (ACYC), encouraged other Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora to call their family members and friends at home to vote in favour of Koroma and his political party.
Conteh noted the remarkable progress which had been achieved since the APC government came to power in 2007: “The country has been transformed. People can feel it, touch it, walk on it, switch it on, eat it.
“We have investors heading to invest in Sierra Leone. This has helped to create jobs for our young people who were concentrated in Freetown. Although, we still have some of them still hanging in Freetown, most of them have gone to the mining companies in the provinces, she added.
Conteh who is a member of APC added that “I always want to see progress in people lives. I should belong where I know we can think almost the same way. My motto is to help and support people who don’t have hope - to give them hope for their further wellbeing.”
