Tinubu assumes office as Nigeria’s President

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assumed office as Nigeria’s President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, after taking the Oath of Office amid tight security at Eagle Square in the nation’s capital – Abuja.

President Tinubu promised that: “I shall serve with prejudice toward none but compassion and amity towards all.” He expressed deep gratitude to Nigerians for entrusting him with their mandate and expressed his commitment to delivering positive change.

He highlighted the need to harness the nation's diversity as a strength, stating, “Our strength lies in our ability to work together, recognizing that our differences are assets that can drive progress and national development.”

Tinubu pledged to prioritize job creation, enhance industrial growth, and bolster Nigeria's economy. Emphasizing the importance of diversification, he outlined plans to support sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure development. He also expressed his commitment to attracting foreign direct investment and fostering an enabling environment for entrepreneurship.
