Nyanya bomb blast
The previous Nyanya bomb blast
Barely two weeks after a bomb went off at Nyanya Motor Park in Nigeria's Federal Capital, Abuja - killing over 70 and leaving more than 120 injured; another explosion has hit Nyanya - opposite the scene of the previous attack.
Current reports from Asokoro Hospital put the death toll at 17 - with many others injured and currently being treated across hospitals in Abuja.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast, but the fingers are pointing at the Boko Haram sect who have been waging a war of terror in the country since 2009.
Less than two weeks ago, 234 school girls aged between 12 and 18 were abducted from their school in Chibok. Just over 50 managed to escape with over 170 still missing.
There have been reports that the girls have been broken into smaller groups and possibly moved to border towns in Chad and Cameroon. It has also been claimed that some of the girls have been married off by the insurgents for N2,000 (about £7).
There have also been reports that two of the girls have died from snake bites.
