Hon. Segun Erinle
The legislator representing Ilejemeje Constituency in the Ekiti State House of Assembly - Hon. Segun Erinle has asserted that State Governor - John Kayode Fayemi has performed creditably well and therefore deserves a second term of four years.
In an interview with Trumpet, Erinle noted that "when he (Fayemi) came on board in 2010 as Governor, he came with an 8-point agenda to transform Ekiti State."
"Reviewing things, there is no area in this 8-point agenda that he has not touched - to the benefit of Ekiti people," he added.
Erinle opined that "so it is my considered opinion that someone who has been able to do things to this level should be given the opportunity to improve on prior achievements."
Erinle described Fayemi as the best candidate for the job.
When asked about Labour Party candidate - Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Erinle opined that Bamidele is "over-ambitious."
Erinle explained that "He was an Adviser and Commissioner in Lagos State for a very long time. He came to Ekiti and wanted to be a Senator - but fortunately or unfortunately, he found himself in the House of Representatives, which he should be proud of. His Local Government and Constituency which is Ifelodun/Irepodun has produced two governors in the past - Niyi Adebayo and Ayo Fayose, while many other constituencies have not."
"The other candidates should tell us what they can do that Fayemi has not done," Hon Erinle concluded.
