Manuel Pellegrini
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is very confident that the second half of the season would be favourable to the Citizens.
The month of December was very favourable to City, as they enjoyed some crucial wins against Arsenal and Liverpool; and leapfrogged to the second place in the Premier League table.
And with such goodies in the first half, Pellegrini expressed his optimism about the second half of the season.
"It was very important for us to finish the year in a position we wanted to be in, it's always better to be first, but I think to recover six points in a month and to still continue in the Capital One (League) Cup and the Champions League is no bad thing.
"The first half of the season has been very good for us against the opposition we have been playing and now from here we will try to win it.
"But it will be very close - the top five are separated by just five points and the second half will be very close too, exactly the same."
Indeed, the second half may be favourable to the Citizens, since Jose Mourinho has tipped the Manchester club to be the title favourites.
