Like in 2011, when Arsenal lost to Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final, Hull City may again deprive Arsene Wenger of another silverware - judging by Steve Bruce's careful preservation of his best squad ahead of the FA Cup finals on May 17.
This FA Cup proves to be Hull City's surest hope of a trophy in the next decade - as Birmingham have struggled to feature in the Premier League after their success of 2011 - whereas, Arsenal are more hopeful than Hull next season.
In keeping his best legs for the final, Bruce, ahead of the Tuesday match against Manchester United, ruled out Sone Aluko, amongst others.
"Sone won't be available (for Manchester United) on Tuesday, it is touch and go for the Cup final I
would have thought."
Moreover, there was some good news from the Tigers treatment room - as long-term absentees Allan McGregor (ribs/kidney) and Paul McShane (ankle) progressing well as they eye Wembley.
"McGregor has got a hell of a chance the way he is going at the moment," added Bruce.
"McShane is coming along well too and we will see how they progress in the next couple of weeks."
The good news for Gunners is that they would have record signing - Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey in their ranks.
