Jose Mourinho
Following a disappointing 2013/2014 season, Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has exuded confidence that next season would be a better campaign for the West London Club.
The Blues, who were crashed out of the UEFA Champions League last Wednesday by a highly spirited Atletico Madrid side, need a point in the Premier League in order to emerge third and secure an European place, ahead of next season.
With Liverpool and Manchester City tightly battling for the Barclay's trophy, the Blues are left without hope of a silverware this season, but Mourinho believes next season will be a memorable one for the Stamford Bridge club.
"Next season will be better than this season – that's our objective," said Mourinho.
"Our young players will be better, hopefully we will have a couple of players to improve our team and we will try to do better next season."
Chelsea may purge out a number of disappointing players, including Fernando Torres and Ashley Cole. The West London club are in bargains with Atletico for their hit-man Diego Costa, who netted a goal at the Bridge on Wednesday night.
