Glo-CAF Awards Gala 2014
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the shortlists for the 2013 African Player of the Year award which will hold on January 9, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria.
Four Nigerian players: John Mikel Obi, Emmanuel Emenike, Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa made the 10-man-shortlist - making Nigeria the country with the most players in the shortlist.
Initially, twenty-five players were shortlisted some weeks ago, but it was trimmed down to 10 after the votes from members of the Technical & Development and the Media Committees were observed.
And now, the Head Coaches of the National Associations affiliated to CAF, will have to vote in order to decide on the eventual winners of the two categories.
The winners will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala which holds on Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria.
