36-year-old Ross Pallett has been convicted of the manslaughter of his stepbrother after Metropolitan Police detectives pieced together the case against him via video doorbell footage.
Pallett of Beckton, appeared at the Old Bailey for trial after he fatally attacked 39-year-old Wayne Potter.
A jury convicted him of manslaughter. He will be sentenced next month.
The court heard Pallett was driving near the Blackwell Tunnel on 2 July last year when he received an alert on his phone that Wayne was outside his home address.
On the security camera, Pallett could see Potter and hear him making threats and shouting racial abuse.
Pallett became incensed and told Potter via his mobile phone that he was coming back to confront him.

Wayne's half-sister and her partner had also seen the security camera footage and arrived back at the address first.
They managed to restrain Wayne, who had broken into the house and armed himself with a crutch. However, Pallett then arrived and dragged Wayne out into the road.
Witnesses said the wheels on Pallett's car were smoking, demonstrating how fast he had been driving back to the address.
Pallett then carried out a brutal attack on his step-brother including multiple kicks and punches and a head-butt.
When police arrived at the scene, Wayne was unresponsive and despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
A special post mortem examination took place on Sunday, 2 July and gave a cause of death as injuries to the head and abdomen.
Pallett, who had left the scene, was arrested the next day. He gave no comment in police interview and was charged later the same day.
A police investigation, led by Met homicide detectives, found that a section of the security camera footage, which would have showed Pallett's attack, had been deleted.
Detective Chief Inspector Jo Yorke said: "When Ross Pallett arrived at the scene the threat posed by his step-brother was over, but he was not prepared to let things rest.
"Pallett attacked Wayne when he was defenceless and inflicted horrendous injuries.
"The post-mortem revealed 34 sites of injury visible on the surface of Wayne’s body including bruising, abrasion and swelling. He had 14 rib fractures that led to damage to his internal organs.
"This incident has caused irreparable damage to the relatives of both men. I am glad that justice has now been served for Wayne Potter."
