Labo: Life is a Journey premieres in UK
Another movie joins the growing list of African films making their way into British cinemas.
Labo: Life is a Journey premieres on Friday 2nd of August at Odeon Cinema Greenwich London, Saturday 3rd August in Birmingham and on Sunday 4th August in Manchester.
Labo: Life is a Journey is a movie by Roseline Sanni-Ajose and is Directed by Femi Fadeyi.
According to the Roseline Sanni, Labo speaks to immigrants especially Africans in the Diaspora about never forgetting their roots and culture as they absorbed by foreign culture and other influences. "Even if they don’t like conditions in their homeland, they should not condemn it, because there is no place like home, where your relatives are still battling with life's survival."
The movie portrays the life of a Mixed Diasporan husband who decides to relocate back to his home country and convinces his adult children and foreign wife to relocate with him. They heeded his call but would things work as anticipated by the husband?
“Labo” is based on a family's battle for cultural supremacy and emphasises on family issues, relationships, marriage between foreigners and young offenders living abroad.
