She came to UK from Ghana where she spent her formative years and has been a political activist since 1988 in Ghana, with many active roles and currently as a Secretary to Nana Akuffo Addo Ladies Club, NNP UK.
She joined the Labour Party and has campaigned actively in local, regional, national and European elections, as the Edmonton South Ward Secretary, Edmonton CLP Women’s Officer, Enfield BAME Secretary, EYs Governor, Member Governor Forum Representative and Curriculum Committee member of the Brettenham Primary School Enfield.
As a Community Re-ablement worker, Sunday School Superintendent and Youth Leader, and the London Borough of Enfield leader of Ghana Union UK, she has worked with people from diverse backgrounds. She also engages actively in her local community and beyond, and takes pride in involving herself in Civic and Civil duties.
Doris Jiagge enjoys attending and hosting social, fundraising events, raising awareness of social and health issues in our local community; and has raised her four children with her partner.
