In an 18-page letter titled "Before it is too late" obtained by Nigerian News website - Premium Times, Nigeria's former President - Olusegun Obasanjo asserts that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has betrayed God and the Nigerian people that brought him to power, and has been pursuing selfish, personal and political interests.
Stating that “Nigeria is bleeding and the hemorrhage must be stopped,” Obasanjo said Jonathan has failed to deliver on his promises to the Nigerian people, stem corruption, promote national unity and strengthen national security.
