
Dr Prince Tetteh
Police have mounted a search for Dr. Prince Tetteh, who claims he is a co-founder of the London-based Worldwide Miracle Outreach (WMO). He is believed to have been involved in various fraudulent activities.
Dr. Tetteh is accused of defrauding around 110 people of numerous sums of money to the tune of GH¢102,150 under the pretext of sending them to London to work in a construction company.
He has been charged with defrauding under false pretence and is being hunted by the police after jumping bail at the Adabraka Police Station in Accra, in 2011.
His wife, Caroline Tetteh was also alleged to have taken part in the supposed suspicious transactions. She was arrested by the Accra Regional Police Command and remanded into police custody by an Accra Circuit Court, two days ago. She is due to re-appear in court on May 20, for her trial.
Police sources indicated that skilled men who were mainly masons and carpenters were charged an amount of GH¢2,000 each at that time in the guise of securing visas.
Dr. Tetteh received some of the monies while his wife also received some on his behalf. Dr. Tetteh, then went into hiding after receiving the payments until the matter was reported to the Adabraka District Police by the victims in 2011.
Pastor Dr Lawrence Tetteh of Worldwide Mircacle Outreach (WMO) said he is unaware of a Dr Prince Tetteh, and he is definitely not a co-founder of WMO.
