Erstwhile Diaspora Nigerian - Otunba (Olu-Omo) Adewale Adenaike is leaving no stone unturned as he increases efforts in his quest to become the Governor of Nigeria's gateway State - Ogun, on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Party's candidate is due to be selected this weekend.
Adenaike who returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom a few years ago, has pledged to 'make Ogun State the hub of industrial, commercial and cultural development in the federation; and build a State that is prosperous and safe for all to reside and transact business - where limitless opportunities abound.'

He highlights six core areas to achieve his vision of a better Ogun State:
Agriculture
Provision of sustainable agricultural mechanisation for all farmers. Creation of incentives for all, to take up farming as a vocation under the Food-For-All programme. Provision of Agricultural funds at zero interest rate.
Education
Refurbishment and upgrade of all public schools to meet acceptable global standards. Hiring of new and retraining of existing teachers. Return of all former private and missionary schools to their owners. Provision of scholarship/bursary for exceptional and indigent students in tertiary institutions.
Health and Social Care
Introduction of PPP into the management of all government hospitals to attract investment. Free medical care for all children under 10, pregnant and nursing mothers, and the elderly. Provision of recreational centres for OAP in all local government areas.

Economy and Industry
Provision of stimulants to attract industrial development. Formulation of vibrant and dynamic economic policies to stimulate growth of SMEs.
Taking advantage of the economic benefits of the proximity to Lagos State.
Security
Deployment of trained local security agents throughout the State.
Collaborative effort with adjoining States to fight crime while enhancing the security apparatus in the State in our attempt to achieve zero tolerance to crime.
Youth and Sports
Renovation of existing and building of new sporting complexes. Creation of sporting competitions to discover young talents. Promotion of sporting academies across the State.
Engagement of street urchins/area boys in valuable vocational and economic activities.
