There are indications that Ogun State politician - Hon Ladi Adebutu who lost out in his bid to be the Governor of the State and subsequently backed Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) - may have done a u-turn to align with Governor-elect Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun.

It will be recalled that Adebutu who lost out to Senator Buruji Kashamu in the factional battle for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket, later threw his support behind Governor Ibikunle Amosun-backed Akinlade ahead of the March 9 polls. Akinlade lost to Abiodun in the keenly contested election.
Days before the election, Ladi Adebutu's father - Sir Kessington Adebutu, a PDP stalwart in the State was caught off-guard by his son's announcement of support for Akinlade, that he publicly disassociated himself from his son's announcement.
Abiodun and the Adebutus hail from Iperu, Remo in the Ikenne Local Government Area of the State.
