Prof. Saburi Adesanya - Vice Chancellor, Olabisi Onabanjo UniversityThe Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye - Professor Saburi Adejimi Adesanya has been confirmed as the substantive Vice-Chancellor.
In a statement issued in Abeokuta, Ogun State's Secretary to the State Government - Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Adesanya, a Professor of Pharmacognosy was named the acting Vice-Chancellor on July 27, 2012 by the institution’s Board.
Prof. Adesanya has a Doctorate degree in Pharmacognosy from the University of London in 1984. He also holds Masters in Philosophy and Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and the University of Ibadan respectively. He has teaching experience spanning about 29 years and was until his initial appointment to OOU, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife - a position he held from 2009 to 2012.
