Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu - Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Ogun State
A 2-way communication initiative to bring governance closer to the people and engender better understanding between government and the governed, has been launched in Ogun State by the State's Ministry of Information and Strategy.
Tagged Feedback Mechanism, the initiative is expected to create a platform for members of the public to air their views, make enquiries and offer suggestions on various issues affecting their lives particularly those related tp the State's Five Cardinal Programme.
The State's Commissioner for Information and Strategy - Yusuph Olaniyonu urged callers to restrict their contributions to issues that are germane to development and shun discussions on partisan politics, as the programme was designed to allow members of the public interface with agencies of government.
“I appeal to our good people of Ogun State to be honest and also cooperate with the government for delivery of good governance.Kindly assist us by doing away with any destructive criticism” Olaniyonu said.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry - Alhaji Abdul Fatai Opebiyi explained that four dedicated telephone lines would be made available for the programme scheduled to hold every week - Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.The telephone numbers are 081 7292 3777, 080 8247 4292, 081 0334 1344 and 070 5696 6606.
