Nigerian shot stopper Vincent Enyeama has won the 2013/2014 RFI - FRANCE 24 Marc-Vivien Foé Award for the best African player in the French Ligue 1 football championship.
Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier (Toulouse FC) and Cameroon international player Henri Bedimo (Olympique Lyonnais) were both nominated for the award, but the 31-year-old Lille goalkeeper was picked by a jury composed of French football journalists.
Enyeama has displayed remarkable performances right from the start through to the end of the season. He impressed football enthusiasts by keeping a clean sheet for 11 consecutive matches (1062 minutes).
Enyeama was also named as the first choice goal-keeper in the Super Eagles World Cup provisional list released by coach Stephen Keshi last week.
