Sepp Blatter
After reaffirming his admiration for Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) - (International Federation of Association Football) - Sepp Blatter, remains adamant that he prefers Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
Blatter was heavily criticised for saying that the Portuguese “spends more time at the hairdresser”, while the Argentine remains a "good boy."
Blatter did admit his wrong and since apologised to the 28-year-old. But whilst endorsing Ronaldo’s talents, Blatter retracted his preference for the Barcelona star Messi.
“To me, he [Ronaldo] is still an outstanding player and an outstanding commander in the field,” he said.
“But obviously each of us, in our heart, has our favourite.”
Blatter also took the opportunity to speak against racism in football as Mario Balotelli and Yaya Toure felt segregated.
“One of the main objectives of FIFA is to combat racism,” he added.
“Unfortunately, racism is not a game, but a reality. Racism itself cones from our society, and not football.”
Blatter is currently serving his fourth term as FIFA President.
