NSSFF
The NSSFF was created to connect Nigerians in the UK and worldwide and to promote awareness in the community on issues affecting and impacting the lives of Nigerians in the UK Diaspora thereby enabling the development of a thriving and engaged Nigerian community. The NSSFF currently uses the NSSFF Day and an Annual Lecture as public events to achieve these objectives.
The sports and family fun day become a major summer event within the UK Nigerian community. Annually attended by over a thousand guests including family, associations and friends groups.
A similar and possibly bigger number of attendees is expected at this year's event that will also be streamed live to a global audience.
The 2015 sports and fun day will include Nigerian Schools alumni and associations competing for valuable prizes in track and field events, table tennis and the Principal's Cup football tournaments.
There will also be live entertainment featuring music from a top Nigerian DJ and live band for adults and face painting, sports and games for the kids. Also included are exhibition marquees, food and drinks.
In recognition of the NSSFF organisers' impeccable track record at delivering successful community events, they won the NEA UK 2015 Award for Outstanding event of 2014.
The NSSFF relies on donations from corporate entities, stakeholders and members subscription funds to fund their events. This year, the event is being majorly sponsored by Lebara Mobile.
