Radamel Falcao
Jose Carlos Noronha, the surgeon in charge of Radamel Falcao's operation, has confirmed that the Columbia international may participate in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Initially, the Monaco striker was ruled out of the prestigious tournament in Brazil - after suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage during a Coupe de France match in January.
However, the renowned surgeon has stated that Falcao is on course to return to action before June.
"Each case is different but he is on the right track," the surgeon told L'Equipe. "He has recovered very well.
"I still believe he could play the World Cup; there is no reason why it could not work."
Falcao has netted 20 times in 51 appearances since making his debut for his country Columbia.
