Natco Select (specialists in Asian and African groceries) have completed a major new charity campaign where 100% of all sales from both of its shops in St Matthews and Oadby during May and June 2017 were donated to four charities – Women’s Aid Leicestershire, Islamic Relief East Africa Crisis Appeal, Leicester City of Sanctuary and Eva Organisation for Women.
Sales at Natco Select during May and June totalled £13,228.90 and this is being shared equally between the four charities.

Commenting on the campaign, Managing Director Luke Pagarani said: “It is quite common for businesses to run charity schemes where some percentage of profits is donated to charity but we wanted to be much bolder and really put our money where our mouth is, so for this campaign we committed that every pound and every penny spent in our stores in May and June would be donated to charity, 100% of sales revenue, not just the profits.
To choose the charities to partner with, we picked great Leicester-based charities supporting refugees, women facing up to violence, and also the urgent need for aid for East Africa facing the worst drought and famine for decades.
Thanks to all our customers without whom it would not have been possible to raise these funds.”
Shali Bullough, Deputy Co-ordinator at Leicester City of Sanctuary said: ‘We are delighted to be included in this campaign and think it is most generous of Natco Select to make 100% of their sales for two months from their shops available to these worthwhile charities.
We will be very pleased to use these funds to support our activities benefiting asylum seekers and refugees. Thank you Natco Select!’
