The carpets are being rolled out to celebrate African cuisine, culture and community at the My Tasty Naija Food Festival holding on Sunday 13 July 2025 in London.
According to the Festival’s Creator and Organiser - Abass Tijani (better known as DJ Abass), the Food Festival which is a spin-off from the hit YouTube series: My Tasty Naija, “brings the flavours of the show to life in a lively, family-friendly setting, filled with food, fashion, music, games, and entertainment.”
My Tasty Naija Food Festival
The idea came from a light-bulb moment for DJ Abass after watching global food travel shows on YouTube. Inspired to showcase Nigerian cuisine in a similar way, in January 2024, he launched My Tasty Naija - a UK-based series highlighting Nigerian restaurants, traditional dishes, and vibrant personalities in the Diaspora.
Following the show's success and the community it built, the food festival was created as a real-world spin-off - inviting food lovers of all backgrounds to experience authentic African flavours, connect with culture, and enjoy a full day of culinary and cultural excitement.
