A landmark conference spearheaded by the Pan-African Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (PAAMA) UK, will highlight the key role of Africa and Africans in shaping the future and fostering peace around the world. The conference is expected to find ways to build bridges and to overcome conflict in an increasingly fractured world.
The conference holding on Saturday 26 October at Britain's biggest mosque - Baitul Futuh Mosque in London, will be attended by Parliamentarians, civic and religious leaders, academics and thought leaders.

The Keynote Speaker at the event themed, Establishing Peace through Justice, Compassion and Mutual Respect, is His Excellency Sir Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz KBE who grew up in Tanzania and worked in senior positions at the University of Dar es Salaam, the Centre for Integrated Rural Development for Africa, UNDP and UNESCO.
Sir Iftikhar has also served on the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Committee for the Rights of Minorities and is the incumbent Chairman of the International Human Rights Committee as well as an Ambassador of Peace. He is an eminent member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and a former National President of the UK Chapter. He is a prolific writer and speaker having published
several books and spoken at several high-profile events including the Community’s annual peace conferences in Ghana and Uganda.
