Emmanuel Chukwudumebi Osejindu
London-based Electrical Engineer - Mr Emmanuel Chukwudumebi Osejindu passed away on Wednesday 11th April 2018.
The late Emmanuel Osejindu who was born in 1951 and raised in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria; worked as an electrical contractor in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

His father had located from the south to northern Nigeria. Emmanuel and his family then relocated to Sambogeri, Zaria in 1953, until the Nigerian Biafran civil war broke out. The civil war prompted his parents to take their children back home to Delta State. Emmanuel pursued a career in Electrical Engineering. After his studies, Emmanuel worked at Cadbury providing electrical installations before moving to Europe. He spent two years in Switzerland, before moving to London in 1979.
In London, Emmanuel acquired the qualifications required to specialise in electrical engineering. After successfully working with the local authority, he set up ECO Electrical Engineers LTD, accredited in 1999. As an accredited contractor, Emmanuel led many projects across the United Kingdom. His expertise, attention to detail and diligence made him a reputable contractor in his industry.

Engineer Emmanuel Osejindu loved Nigeria and hoped to retire in his homeland. It was Emmanuel’s desire to impart his knowledge on to the next generation of electrical engineers in Nigeria. For this reason, Emmanuel opened ECO Excel International LTD for the management of electrical supply and installations including solar power.
Emmanuel had an in-depth knowledge of world affairs. He enjoyed engaging with individuals from all walks of life, hence his ability to converse in many languages. Emmanuel understood and spoke his native Ibo tongue as well as, Yoruba and Hausa. It was also not uncommon to see Emmanuel attempt to communicate in French and Punjabi too.
Emmanuel was a faithful member of his local church - St Joseph the Worker Church, London until his death. Emmanuel extended his passion for electrical engineering to his church by helping to maintain the church building's lighting. Only recently, Emmanuel, contributed to major renovations at his church by installing brand new lights in the main body of the church. Quite literally, Emmanuel lit up the lives of those around him.
He leaves behind his wife - Mrs Susan Osejindu, their five children and two grandchildren.
A celebration of life with Requiem Mass will take place at St Joseph the Worker Church, Northolt, on Friday 25th May. Mass will begin at 2.00pm. Emmanuel will be laid to rest in his native village Ubulu-Okiti, Delta State, Nigeria.
