Based in Manchester Openshaw, the charitable organisation has local projects and international projects - all aimed at community empowerment.
The Maravi Heritage Foundation has been one of the leading charitable organisation in advocating for good environmental policies in countries like Malawi which is battling with environmental challenges due to poor policies.

In 2017, it launched the One Tree One Citizen Project - aimed at tackling deforestation through encouraging the citizens and community to plant and look after trees. It started with 20,000 trees and in 2018 donated over 200,000 trees to almost 150 communities.

The Foundation also launched a media project in 2018 in Manchester Openshaw with the aim of training and empowering youths and the unemployed. The project is making an impact by giving people a skill they can use for income generation, through photography, blogging and social media marketing.
