Since 2001, Shieldasset Ltd has owned and operated Lettsom Pharmacy, the company’s retail arm created to deliver an exceptional healthcare experience to its community. Today, Lettsom Pharmacy stands out as one of a select group of UK healthcare practices with a consistent 5-star rating on Google Reviews, reflecting its focus on outstanding patient care and customer service.
Under Ademola’s leadership, the pharmacy has grown into a comprehensive provider of NHS and private services, including dispensing, vaccinations, medicines optimisation, blood pressure monitoring, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure assessments, atrial fibrillation screening, supporting early diagnosis and stroke prevention in the community, in partnership with GP practices, specialist travel health services, weight management support, and drug addiction services with supervised monitoring.
Lettsom Pharmacy also played a key role in developing future healthcare professionals, serving as an accredited pre-registration training site for pharmacy graduates between 2001 and 2011.
In addition to his work in community pharmacy, Ademola leads several strategic healthcare initiatives under the Shieldasset umbrella. One of the most impactful is MyPharmacyBusiness, an e-commerce B2B wholesale and export platform dedicated to supplying authentic, quality-assured medicines, particularly to Africa, where the circulation of counterfeit and adulterated drugs continues to pose severe public health risks. Through this venture, he actively contributes to strengthening medicine authenticity and improving access to safe, reliable pharmaceuticals across underserved regions. Shieldasset Ltd also operates Camberwell Travel Clinic, a fully accredited travel health centre and NaTHNaC-approved Yellow Fever vaccination site offering comprehensive vaccination and pre-travel advisory services.
Ademola’s professional foundation is rooted in strong academic and multi-disciplinary training. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University. His expertise is reinforced by an extensive portfolio of professional qualifications, including an NVQ Level 3 in Management from OCR, the Financial Planning Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute, PRINCE2 project management certification, a Business Analysis qualification from the British Computer Society, Microsoft Certified Specialist accreditation, Train-the-Trainer certification, an Advanced Diploma in Health and Safety from the Royal Society for Public Health, a Stocktaking Certificate from the Institute of Licensed Trade Stock Auditors, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) status, and the Professional Diploma in Law from CILEx.
