She is the owner of Castle Stars Educational Day Nursery and Founder / CEO of BRITAFRIQUE - a not-for-profit organisation that supports and encourages young people in education to become mentors to younger children, whilst providing role models for the youths to work with.

She is also the representative for Private, Voluntary and Independent Day Nursery for the Royal Borough of Kingston.
The Chairlady of "The Conservative Friends of Nigeria," is a member of Rotary International New Malden, and a member and Leader of Girls Guide Fulham branch.
For over 12 years, she has been the Voluntary Director of Pro-Generation - a Youth Club and Supplementary School in Hammersmith and Fulham. She is also the coordinator of the Hammersmith and Fulham Appropriate Adult scheme which involves liaising with young offenders.
Through events she organises at the Houses of Parliament since 2013, she has provided a platform particularly for vulnerable adults, young people, children and their families to have their voices heard by the UK government.
Michelle Akintoye - the highly respected Community Leader, Teacher, Educator, Entrepreneur and role model to youths and young people, has had her contributions recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2012 with a British Empire Medal (BEM).
