The Villarreal striker returns to the national team for the first time since February 2013 - when the Super Eagles emerged champions of the African Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles have struggled in the absence of the prolific striker - failing to find the net without controversy and unable to prove a deadly strike force.
Coach Stephen keshi recalled the striker after so much yearnings for him, and Uche - who must now perform up to par - has voiced that winning Congo is a priority for him.
"It's always an honour to play for my country and I am ready to give my best," Ike told media.
"I am not under any pressure to deliver, but the team spirit is high and as a team we would together do our best to qualify our country," he noted.
"We have a very important game ahead of us and I am here to help my country qualify," he concluded.
