The inaugural edition of the African Women's Dinner holds on Saturday 7 March 2015 at the Thistle Hotel Marble Arch, Bryanton Street, London, W1H 7EH from 7pm.
The event organised by Sheila Gatonye of Triple-T Events is a celebration of International Women's Day and Mother's day with a mission to Connect, Inspire and Empower women.
Guest Speakers expected at the event include Sherry Ann Dixon - Founder & CEO of Women on the Crossroads. Sherry is an award winning Public Relations practitioner, Journalist, Lecturer, Public Speaker, Presenter and the former Editor of Pride Magazine and Editor in Chief of SHE Caribbean Magazine. With an accolade of awards under her belt, Sherry has also written for many publications including The Guardian, Sunday Observer, The Times and The Voice Newspapers.

Also speaking will be Motivational speaker Stessy Nyaga - Founder and President of Diaspora Youth Empowerment. At the tender age of 24, Stessy is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society on behalf of the Queen’s Young Leaders programme as well a Commonwealth Thought Leader and Sustainability Activist.
Guests will enjoy a drinks reception from 7pm followed by a sumptuous 3 course dinner with live music by RnB/AfroJazz band Strictly Spontaneous playing in the background. Entertainment is packaged by DA Promotions and Event Consult and Artists performing on the night will include Lea Habz, a Ugandan UK based artist well known for 'Am in love' collaboration with Geosteady back in Uganda; Lily Kyeyune and Magdalene the Artist. Celebrity Artist/DJ, Deoba Authentic will also perform on the night.
There will be a raffle draw in aid of the event’s charitable causes and this year proceeds will go towards making improvements in education, health and quality of life within a remote rural Maasai village in the Kenyan Rift Valley.
The MC/Compere for the night will be Kevwe Ogunje, a Nollywood Actor and award winning Producer.
